You have fallen in love with one of my handmade choker necklaces but are still unsure about the length? In this article, you will learn how to measure your neck circumference correctly and how I will use your individual measurements when making your new favourite choker necklace. This way, you are guaranteed to find the perfect choker that really suits you!

How to measure your Neck Circumference for the perfect Choker Length

Custom-made according to your Specifications

In my shop, you will find a large selection of handmade choker necklaces – from boho wrap chokers made of vegan leather to elegant velvet necklaces. What makes them special is that I make each choker to order and can therefore tailor them to your individual wishes and measurements. Although all my chokers are adjustable and the standard length suits many of my lovely customers, it does not cover all sizes. That's why my shop gives you the option to specify your neck size when placing your order to allow me making your new favourite piece perfectly for you.

  1. Simply enter your individual neck size in the personalisation field on the product page. I will then take it into account when making your new piece of jewellery.
  2. Please always enter your exact neck circumference. You do not need to include the clasp of the choker in your measurement! I will take care of that for you 🖤
  3. I will adjust your choker to any length at no extra charge.

How to measure your Neck Circumference correctly

A choker looks best when it fits comfy around the neck, without constricting or hanging loosely. Take a flexible measuring tape and measure the part of your neck where you want the choker to sit. Be careful not to measure too tightly – the tape measure should fit comfortably but not constrict. You may be able to fit one finger between the tape and your neck, but no more than that. If you don't have a measuring tape to hand, you can simply use a piece of string instead and cut it to the right length. You can then measure this with a ruler or folding rule.


Note: Each choker comes with a clasp chain that allows you to adjust the length.

Elastic Velvet Chokers for even more Comfort

I make my velvet chokers from wonderfully soft, elastic velvet ribbon. This means they fit your neck perfectly while still giving you some freedom in terms of length. If you stretch your velvet choker slightly when fastening it, it will fit perfectly and won't slip.


Please always provide your neck circumference for elastic choker necklaces as well, if it does not match the specified measurements. This way, you can be sure that your new choker will fit you perfectly!
